This school is not merely a great place to learn martial arts, it is also a wonderful community of teachers and students who care about and for one another.

I started Thai Kickboxing a little over 2 months ago at Seattle Tae Kwan Do and I love it. Master Richards is always hyped up and motivating which I like cause it pushes me to try to go beyond my limits. I also like that the higher belt ranked students are always helpful with technique and motivation too.

This martial arts school is a rare find! Its a Small business around for years that truely wants your child to succeed and be in every aspect if life. They treat your family like you're part of their family immediately, from the moment you walk in. They have strong values such as respect and patients that stretch to their teaching in class.

They've got classes for the whole family too! Kick boxing is a fun and non intimidating class with a group of "average" people, not a bunch of gym "lunks" would make a fun and healthy date night for mom and dad!

Overall its one of the best environments to put your whole family in. Come here FIRST!

This is such a wonderful place! My nephew has joined the kick boxing class and he is doing amazing, he just got his yellow belt! :) It is such a joy to see him blossom and grow, feeling more secure in himself. I have to give a huge Thank You to our cousin for bringing us here and introducing us to Master Richards and also, a huge Thank You to Master Richards for reaching out to my nephew, building him up and encouraging him. Who knows, one of these days I might be able to join in the fun. lol

The father of my child and fiance attended this school earning his black belt. Every single day the virtues he learned at this school are applied to our life and relationship.
Here is a message I sent thanking Grand Master Richards for everything he taught my man, which was so far beyond martial arts!

"Yes, but you taught my Connor to use his heart, I must formally thank you for that, you helped mold Connor into the man he is today. His discipline and drive is that of a hero, your school helped him learn that and learn to apply it to life! I must say I won the husband lottery ♡"

"I hope you know you taught him far more than martial arts!"

Grand Master Richards and his employees have so many important lessons to teach our next generation, I would strongly suggest sending your child of any age or circumstance to this school to learn discipline, hard work, and self worth.

My grandson has an amazing time there, while learning how to have control of his body. It gives him an outlet for his excess energy and a way to focus it for his own good. Patient and kind instructors and Masters.

Wow. What an amazing school. Every moment I was enrolled here I felt as if I was apart of a family and still do. Grand master Richards is a great man. Very involved in the community. I love this school. My current masters are old students of master Richards and this school. If I was looking for a school to enroll in that was with in a 30 mile radius. This is my first and only choice

The Shopper’s Self Defense Guide

Holiday shopping can be a thrill. In a good way and even in a bad way. Adding a little self defense mentality can go a long way.

Self Awareness

You have society on your side. Potential criminals (for the most part) won’t just obnoxiously run up to you in front of a crowd and take your things.
These criminals are looking for an opportune situation. As long as you are aware of your surroundings, you can prevent yourself from ever falling into one of these situations.
Your own body is a part of your surroundings. It would be a foolish decision to count cash in public. This is something you should be aware of, and instead count your cash privately.
The ultimate holiday shopping self defense tip is to simply be aware. Be aware of where a potential pick pocket is, and what a potential pick pocket is looking for.

The Pick Pocket

Pickpockets thrive on holiday shopping. There are crowds of people, loaded with cash and jewelry who know nothing about practical self defense.
Get inside the mind of the pick pocket. They are looking for crowds. Pay attention when in a crowd. Don’t forget where all your belongings are.
Avoid dark areas. Keep your wallet in your front pockets. Don’t let your bag or purse hang behind you. Everything valuable should be positioned up front where your eyes and hands can follow them at all time.

Wear simple, comfortable, and non-flowing clothing. The biggest aspect of holiday shopping self defense is being prepared. Pay attention and stay safe.

Dealing With Your Car

Another holiday shopping hot spot for thieves is your vehicle.

Pay attention to where you parked. Don’t park in a dark corner. Park where it’s bright. Even if this means you have to park further away, putting yourself in a favorable position is the centerpiece of holiday shopping self defense.

Pay attention when you finish shopping. The walk back to you car is the most dangerous. The criminals know that you are finished with all of your holiday gifts and exhausted. Have your keys ready in hand, and don’t waste any time.

Pay attention to your surroundings, get to your car, and get out. If you are worried about your situation, then don’t be scared to ask a security guard to escort you.
